Test results and diagnostic parameters recorded on our certificates represent the professional findings of qualified gemologists using optical and physical laboratory instruments available at the date of testing. Gemological identification is a scientific assessment and does not constitute a legal guarantee or financial appraisal of market worth.
Modern gemstone treatment technologies (such as high-pressure high-temperature treatments, nano-diffusions, or glass fillings) evolve continually. The laboratory utilizes best-practice non-destructive testing to detect treatments; however, determinations are based on observable spectroscopic and microscopic criteria at the time of examination.
Koustav Gemological Laboratory, its officers, and certified staff shall not be liable for any financial losses, commercial disputes, or consequential damages arising from reliance upon issued certificates beyond the nominal testing fee charged for the diagnostic examination.
